I am back from spring vacation. We went to Costa Rica . I absolutely love it there, especially up in the cloud forests. This was our third visit. If you love nature, this is the best place to visit. I had to share some of my pictures . It is much prettier in person though. Deep in the rain forest, we saw the rare Quetzel bird. Isn't he gorgeous? Birders spend their lives looking for this bird! We lucked out!

This is the female leaving the nest. She doesn't have a long tail like the male, but she's still beautiful.
They take turns taking care of the baby.

Here is a beautiful toucan that we saw near a river. I finally saw toucanette, but sadly didn't get a picture. They were too fast and didn't want their picture taken. hehee

Isn't he cute? Check out the red-eyed tree frog!

We hiked to the most beautiful waterfall that we have ever seen, Las Gemelos or Blue Rapids. It wasn't an easy hike, but it was worth it. Our jaws dropped when we got there. We had no idea it was going to be this stunning. We were in heaven. It rains like clock work around noon every day but luckily it didn't start until after two. Then we ate a delicious lunch. What a perfect day!
